  1. Hi Everyone,

Recently, a several users have begun actively helping out around here, and that has been a wonderful development! Thank you all!

In the next revision, I am working to make PhotoSmash more user friendly. Tonight, I've just uploaded a version to WordPress (development version: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/photosmash-galleries.zip ) that has a number of changes to Photo Manager, Import Photos, et al.

If you are able and willing, please download it and give it a try, and post your suggestions here!

You'll know you've got the development version installed because there is a "settings" link in the Admin/Plugins page on beside the Deactivate link for PhotoSmash. It's still listed as 0.5.08...I'll make it 0.5.09 for the next beta since we're going 0.6 or maybe 1.0.

    Thanks for your help...and cheers!!
    Byron

  2. Hey Byron, I had a look on it but to tell the truth I think the changes were in areas that I don't use that much, so I can't form a valid opinion... :(

Maybe next time I can say something to help. :)

    Cheers!

  3. No, problem! Your participation has been most helpful...and deeply appreciated. The time you (and others) save me in support goes back into the project to make it better. So, hopefully, it's paying you some dividends ;-)

  4. Love the plugin, even though I can't get it to play nice with my ecommerce plugin.

The new update has created a new problem. Why can't I use the Import Photos to bring images from my media gallery into photo galleries I create anymore? It only gives me the option to pull images from active Posts, instead of pulling the from my media. I have uploaded all the images through WordPress, but still can't bring the into a new gallery.

    What is the fix?

  5. Great, I will try the new version!

  6. LiveWire,

    Thanks!

There should be an option for <Unattached Images> (no posts).

Doing a fetch on that should bring back any images that are not attached to a post. The media library actually includes images that are attached to your posts as well as those that are not. If you do All Posts, that actually brings back images that are not attached to posts as well as those that are.

Also, note that there is now some paging. I need to fix it to be like hulu.com, but right now, you can tell it how many images to bring back, and on what image # to start (it should be what page #, but that's a fix for later).

Let me know if that doesn't help.

  7. SeenD,

Thanks! Please note that the current version 0.6.00 is the Development version as well, so if you've upgraded to 0.6.00, you've got the latest available.

  8. Mate PS has been paying dividends from day one!! I don't know what I would be doing without PS and your support! On the dividends area I am the one that should be paying more, but I shall catch up! :)

    Cheers!

  9. John,

    Glad it's working for you!
