  1. This is my first use of this plug-in which looks amazing, but having followed the instructions to set up my first gallery, all I get is a gray box, with no add photo button.

I am sure I must be missing the obvious, but can anyone tell me what that is?

I have '"Rel" parameter for image links:' set to 'lightbox[album]' (Rupert Morris version) and nothing in the 'Image link (href) css class' box, is that right?

    Many thanks for any help,

    SM

  2. Hi SM,

You need to make sure your Gallery Settings have the right minimum role to upload on them (Uploading tab).

If you can provide a link, I can see if there is something else going on.

  3. My minimum roles is set to anybody.

Thank you for your speedy response!

  4. SM,

I took a look and it really should be working at this point. You don't have either of the 2 main coding blunders that cause problems with uploads.

Are you looking in Gallery Settings or PhotoSmash Settings? It needs to be set for your gallery in Gallery Settings (make sure it's selected in the dropdown, and click edit).

I only harp on that because it's always been the issue before.

Let me know if that doesn't do it...if not, send me an email through contact page - http://smashly.net/contact/ - and we'll take a deeper dive.

    Cheers,
    Byron

  8. Hi, I have just installed this plugin using the automatic install with word press, through the add new plugin section. Sadly I have the same problem. No ad image apears in the post or pages I have created. Not in admin or any other log in. all galleries are set to anyone to upload. thought it may be the browser as I use google crome, but it was the same with firefox. I am trying to set up a web site for my nephews wedding photos, where friends and family can upload their photos for all to see. not sure how to set it all up so any help welcome. This is a great plug in, once this blip is resolved I will be a happy bunny.

  9. Hi lynnspain,
Is there any text in "Text for Add Photo link:" field under "PhotoSmash Settings > Uploading" tab?

And check it also in Gallery Settings > Uploading tab.

  10. Hi lynnspain,

One other thing to check is that in Gallery Settings, in Uploading tab, check "Minimum role to upload photos:"...If it is set to Admin, then only people logged in with Admin rights will see the upload link.

  11. Thank you magna and Byron for your quick response.
"Is there any text in "Text for Add Photo link:" field under "PhotoSmash Settings > Uploading" tab?"
Yes I have "Upload Photos" in this box on both photosmash settings and Gallery settings.

Minimum role is set to anyone.

  12. Ah...success! It was the "Use Manual Form Placement" setting on the PhotoSmash Settings / Advanced page.

That's one I need to remember in the future.

    Cheers,
    Byron
