  1. I think that PhotoSmash-Galleries has an opportunity to be the go-to plugin as there is no competition in this niche.

Currently, you have the ability to sync some changes across all galleries. I propose that the link text for "adding a photo" is one of these. I'd also like to be able to mass change the GALLERY TYPE on all of my albums, as I recently decided that I'd like to add YouTube video support.

However, YouTube video support doesn't seem to work at all. Is there anything that I need to do to get it to work?

Currently, when uploading I'm presented with the option to upload an image or to add a YouTube link. When I submit the page simply has an empty icon in this spot. Am I doing anything wrong or will I need to dig into the code to fix this?

  2. Hi Shawn,

    Thanks!

I'll have to take a look at the mass change items and see what all should be added.

YouTube should work out of the box...if you've got the radio buttons, click the youtube button and paste in a YouTube URL like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iICDCj-qOEU

The submission of the form does need some improvement since it doesn't give the user very good feedback, and in Photo Manager, it doesn't show the video either...you can only see it in the actual posts/pages.

Let me know how it goes....and if you make any enhancements, I'd be glad to see about adding them!

  3. hi byron

I was hoping to be able o use the gallery_view_layout with the Mix Images + Youtube gallery type option on all my galleries, but same as for Shawn above, YouTube does not seem to work (i.e.cut & paste http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iICDCj-qOEU) all I get is a blank thumbnail etc -

it works ok with the Standard layout but not at all with the gallery_view_layout...

what do I need to do?

I want to keep the gallery_view_layout..

    thank you so much

  4. eze,

You're correct :-( YouTube has removed the embed url option they used to give...I'm not sure why, but they did. I need to figure out how to embed going forward.
