I just installed the plugin and when I try to access the settings, the box drops down then immediately collapses. And when I click on the tabs, nothing happens at all.

Hi Aoife,
I haven't seen that one before. The Admin pages are pretty standard for WordPress. You may want to see if you have any installed plugins that might be causing this. You may also try reloading the plugin.

That's what I was thinking too - that one or more of my other plugins could be causing this. I did try to reload and it didn't work. Lemme see if I can find the conflict....

well, i deactivated every addon but PhotoSmash and no go. deleted and reinstalled PhotoSmash with everything still deactivated and still doesn't work.

This would be pretty radical, but you might try reloading WordPress or upgrading to 2.8.4 if you're not already there. I assume you're using the standard WP Admin themes.

leave it to me to find something like this. lol. I'm using 2.8.4 and the theme I'm using is Simple Indy from India Fascinates, with my own tweaks. i'm going to try your addon on another site that doesn't have that theme and see what happens.

yup, it's the theme i'm using. i installed your addon to a site using a different theme, with its addons all activated and tried the settings and i was able to access just fine. i then installed the Simple Indy theme and again tried the settings to your addon and they don't work. so there we have it!

well, sad thing is I don't have time right now to try to figure out what part of the code is conflicting. i'll try to take a look in the next few days and let you know if i can find anything.
