I seem to be having a CSS issue with IE8, it looks fine in FF on mac and PC. Fine with compatability mode one. But display is odd in straight IE8. Any CSS ninjas here that can take a look?

I've tried everything I can think of.

Hi there!
This great plugin would probably be just what I needed, only that I can't make it work: when I upload the image, I get a message: "Validation error, please select a file" - which I just did and pressed submit button... The uploader is on http://www.parampara.pl/imp/zdjecia-uzytkownikow/). Please, does anyone have an idea what to do about that?

Okay, so perhaps I didn't figure this out.

I have a custom form that is associated with a specific gallery. Every time I upload a picture using the custom form, a new gallery is created instead of the form adding images to a single gallery that I've specified.

Is it possible to create custom upload forms that direct photos uploaded via a specific form to a specific gallery?

Example: custom_form_1 loads images into my_gallery_1;
custom_form_2 loads images into my_gallery_2

Also of note, instead of using the 'Add Photo' link and the media upload popup, I am displaying the upload form in a page using the
form_visible=true
code.

How do I set a custom form to default to a specific gallery?

One question - I'm only going to have one gallery of pictures, and I wish they would just display right off the bat instead of having to click a thumbnail and transfer to an inner page. Is there a way to do that?

Hey, first off thanks for this plugin and all the work you are doing for it. I appreciate it and it helps make my job easier.

So basically, I have the plugin installed and it's working fine....but I'm having trouble customizing it to make it look better.

link: http://frankiesgun.com/main/look/photos/concert-photos-the-felice-brothers/07102010-lancaster-pa/

Here's what I'd like to accomplish:

1.) Remove the link for slideshow. I don't want the slideshow option and would rather just see them as a photo gallery.
2.) Remove that little bubble that says "Post" in the upper right hand corner of the thumbnails. What is this and how can I get rid of it?
3.) I've updated the captions for the images but the links under the thumbnails are still showing the old caption. I've tried removing the caption completely and that hasn't seemed to work for me either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(PhotoSmash Default Settings)
Default Layout: Standard display
Image link (href) css class: thickbox
Thumbnail & Caption link targets: (unchecked)

(Gallery Settings)
Gallery type: Photo Gallery
Display using Layout: Standard display
Image link (href) css class: thickbox

Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Is there a way to get PhotoSmash to limit the voting to 1 Vote per IP per Gallery. On my page, I've got it all working properly, but we want to limit it so that each person can only vote for 1 photo in each gallery. We're going to have different categories of submissions with 1 gallery per category and want anonymous users to only be able to vote for 1 of the pics in a gallery. Any ideas or thoughts?

Hi Byron,

hope you're doing well. I'm having fun working with photosmash -- pretty powerful plugin!

I did have one question. I'm hoping it's an easy one ... I think my headache is just getting the best of me right now.

Is there a way to display galleries based on post tags as opposed to photo tags? I know I can use the post_tag field on my form, but what would I add to the shortcode to pull them back based on the tags I assigned to any given post?

I hope that made sense. If it's not possible, no problem, it's something I can have my husband work around on his end ... just thought I'd check in case it was something really obvious that I'm just missing. :)

Thanks!

Best,

Hello,

Great plugin!!! I was looking for something like this for a few days.

I would like to include the latest 5 images uploaded on my homepage and have a link to the page in which I included the [photosmash] code (where I wish to show all the images that are in the gallery). I also want to have the upload link on the homepage. Is this possible? So on the homepage I would have 5 images showing, and on the gallery page, all of them.

That's about it.

Thank you for the plugin :)

Great plugin! I have created a custom layout here: http://wp.sitebrew.net/?page_id=1422

Any idea how I would modify my layout to put thumbnails of the other photos in the gallery lined up below the one image?

Thanks!

Hi there!

First of all, fantastic plugin. I'm impressed not only by the scope of it all, but by your fantastic support. It's rare to find developers so quick to reply :)

My question is this: is there a means to determine the order by which a gallery is sorted, within the shortcode itself? I'm aware of the option to set the default ordering within the admin panel, but I'm thinking something more akin to:

[photosmash id=2 sort_type=rating sort_order=asc]

The reason I ask is that I need functionality to allow users to switch between viewing a gallery by rank, date added, and title. I could use multiple galleries, but that;s rather messy and unnecessarily complicated.

Even if you haven't implemented this yet, would you be able to suggest where I should add my own code to achieve this? I gather that the main shortcode parameters are in bwb-photosmash.php, and the main SQL is generated in bwbps-layout.php. If you could give me any hints about where to look to implement a system such as the one I've proposed, it would be fantastic, and I'd be more than happy to supply you with my code should I get it working (if you feel that it would be a valuable addition to the plugin).

Many thanks,

I'm completely new to word press and do not know css.

I installed photosmash and set up 3 galleries. My photos, no matter which gallery I put it in, shows up all three galleries.

How do I correct this?

Thank you

I am trying to make the user be able to sort the gallery and not just the admin...I think for any gallery with many images, this is kind of must, so the user can see the most relevant images for himself...

Well I haven't had much lucky on the question.. :( Could you please help me in anyway on this matter? Thanks.

Hi all,

I am wondering if someone could advise me on this please.

When I change the number of rows in my gallery to 3 it doesn't work, it only displays 2 rows.

I have tried displaying 1 and 2 rows which both work fine but when I display 4 rows it only displays 3 but with extra space to the right.

The display I am using and want to use is the standard display.
I would like it to look like the photosmash demo one with 3 rows and the correct spacing.

Does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Thanks,
David
